CAMP McGINNIS

Located close to the Three Forks of the Wolf River where now is Alvin C. York's birthplace, Camp McGinnis was a Confederate base of operations for raids into nearby Wayne and Clinton counties in Kentucky. Several of the McGinnis family were mentioned as members of Champ Ferguson's scouts.
